Basic coursework in chemistry, biology, and math with statistics is recommended but not required. The selected intern must wear lab-appropriate clothing (closed-toed shoes, long pants/skirts for full coverage). Students must be minimum age specified by June 16.
Ability to work independently and general mechanical skills are essential. Familiarity with Vernier equipment and data collection software is a benefit. Students must be 16 years of age by June 16. It is preferred that applicants be willing to make an office visit during the interview process.
Able to use computers, willing to learn/write code, basic understanding of scientific observations. The selected intern must wear lab-appropriate clothing (closed-toed shoes, long pants/skirts for full coverage). Students must be minimum age specified by June 16.
Some experience in 3D modeling (no specific program), manufacturing, or programming (Python, C++, or MATLAB) and a strong drive to learn more about bio-inspired techniques, robotics, and understanding how the body works is highly desired.

Medical clearance may be required, and may take 3-5 days to process. If required, you will need to provide your personal health records. Programming experience in both scripting (Python or similar) and object-oriented (C++ or similar) languages is preferred.

A nondisclosure agreement must be signed before work begins. There will be required training modules that can be completed during their first week of work at Nike.
