Ceilidh (she/they) is a lifelong lover of stories, science experiments, and running around outside playing make-believe, finding cool rocks, sticks, and bugs. While their first love is elementary education, their undergrad is in Anthropology (where they can tell stories and look at cool rocks professionally!)
For Celidh, as an educator, the most meaningful part of teaching is creating a time and space for children to feel known, heard, and able to explore their truest selves. They endeavor for every child in their care to feel that they have room to be their favorite version of themselves, follow their curiosity, and run with what they enjoy. Celidh feels that having a space like this means creating a climate where kids not only feel safe but feel brave - their students know that they can do hard things, and have hard conversations, and that Celidh is there to support and guide them.
Celidh is very excited to join Saturday Academy for their first year and looks forward to exploring and creating with your kids. As Ms. Frizzle would say, "take chances, make mistakes, get messy!
