ASE applicants must submit two (2) adult recommendations as part of their final application.  The person can be a teacher, counselor, coach or some other non-relative that knows your intellectual interest, academic ability and character.  We strongly suggest that at least one of your recommenders be a science, math or computer teacher.     

Applicants: In 2010, we will only accept recommendations submitted via online form by adult recommenders.  They must have your full name, preferred email address, and ASE ID Number to complete your online recommendation - you received your ASE ID Number via email after submitting your preliminary application.  Your email address will be used to send you a confirmation email, letting you know the recommendation has been successfully completed.  Please give the person recommending you ample time to complete the form and indicate that it must be submitted by Monday, February 22, 2010.

Teachers & other Adult Recommenders: We strongly advise that you provide an institutional email address provided for you by the school or other employer when completing the online recommendation form.  You will automatically receive an email confirmation at this address upon successful completion of the form, and you will see a report of exactly what you submitted for the applicant.  The applicant will also receive an email confirmation, but it will NOT include the report.  If you do not receive an email confirmation after submitting a recommendation or if you unexpectedly receive one for a recommendation you did not complete, please contact ASE staff right away.
